Historiografía militar española contemporánea (1940-1989)

Abstract

This article is a selective study of the works about contemporary Spanish military history published between 1940 and 1989. I refer to the military historiography that deals with the Army -more than about the Navy and Air Force- and Society; not that which, fundamentally, deals with war. In the conclusions, I reflect on the weak points of the contemporary Spanish military historiography and the relations between military history and general history, as a discipline, and Armed Forces and Society, as jield of study.
