Les figures de l’étudiant dans nos sociétés néo-libérales valorisant le projet individuel
Abstract
The individual project of the student occupies a central place in research fitting into one of the dominant currents in psychology and sciences of education, namely that of self-determination. Here we want to discover the implicit and explicit conceptions of the student, conceptions revealed through the passion of researchers for these projects. Analysis of textual data, starting from a thematic approach, enabled us to discover that the vision of the student conveyed by the works of researchers dealing with the theory of self-determination may be likened to that of the human being advanced in the Homo Oeconomicus model. Seven images stand out in our research, namely those of a subject who has needs, who acts in an intentional and rational way, who presents himself as being self-determined and responsible, who seeks her/his wellbeing and who adapts to society. Proposals are made with a view to widening conceptions of the student, both in the fields of practices and research.
