E-book Readers’ practices in Algeria: A study of Reading Groups on Facebook
Abstract
Abstract: Among the factors that encourage users to engage in learning activities is the creation of a suitable environment that provides this service. Therefore, social media platforms such as Facebook, through reading groups, can serve as one of these spaces. They help users retrieve information quickly and with minimal effort. Additionally, they can be spaces where users learn how to develop their reading skills using technological applications and access information through these technologies. These groups can offer information about books and promote them or assist members in finding a variety of books across different fields and specialties. Members can also exchange ideas and opinions about the books they have read. Through this research, we aim to focus on methods that can improve ways of accessing and obtaining information, as well as pave the way for digital citizenship, there by integrating these users into the digital society.
