HISTORICAL EXPERIENCE OF THE INSTITUTE OF ORIENTAL LANGUAGES (LAZAREV INSTITUTE) IN SOCIO-CULTURAL INTEGRATION AND ADAPTATION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS

Abstract

Every year the number of foreign students in higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation. According to the national project «Education» by the end of2024, their population will be increased by 2 times. In this regard, the problem of their socio-cultural integration and adaptation to Russian society becomes the most urgent. The article presents the historical experience of the Institute of Oriental languages (Lazarev Institute) to solve this problem, which can be used by modern universities. Experience includes co-education, language and faith policy.
