De la distinction entre images scientifiques et images artistiques
Abstract
The article questions the growing porosities between scientific and artistic images and discusses the relevance of maintaining this methodological distinction. The focus is on examples of scientists who interrogate scientific and some artistic images in order to question certain functions of images that scientific discourse puts forward. More precisely, it is a question of understanding whether the probationary function and the scientific commentary make it possible to classify an image as scientific and to point out certain murky areas that make the distinction between scientific and artistic images problematic.
