Multiple sinus of Valsalva aneurysms: A ‘triple whammy’ of troubles
Abstract
A 35-year-old gentleman presented with recent onset dyspnea followed by congestive heart failure. There was no history of any chest pain or trauma. Transthoracic echocardiography and contrast-enhanced CT imaging revealed aneurysms of right and left sinuses of Valsalva. The left coronary sinus aneurysm had ruptured into the left ventricle. The right coronary sinus aneurysm had burrowed into the base of the interventricular septum with associated conduction abnormalities. In addition, there was severe aortic regurgitation. The patient underwent successful surgical repair of aneurysms and aortic valve replacement. The case is reported for its rarity of having simultaneous presentation of multiple sinuses of Valsalva aneurysms.
