Impact of leadership on organisational outcomes in school management: Example of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Abstract
The paper presents some organisational outcomes in school management that are strongly interrelated, and leadership which has a significant impact on them. Considering the fact that the school is a non-profit organisation with a specific social significance, the aim of the research was to determine how to improve the results of the school management, or to determine how to improve the management of the school by the school principal, and thus to improve key organisational outcomes: school quality, job satisfaction, organisational (school) culture and work motivation. The survey was conducted during the first half of 2014 (January, February, March) in 23 secondary schools in Una-Sana Canton (B and H), by the method of survey and interviewing, using the questionnaire as an instrument of scientific research. The above outcomes significantly affect key organisational outcomes of the educational process, pupils' achievement, which are measured by their success in learning and behaviour.
