The analysis of systemic inequalities between women and men, but among women themselves, has made possible important questions about the process of women's organization in different contexts. In Africa the mobilizations for the feminine emancipation emerged in the independence movements, the colonial impositions demanded that women fight for the autonomous organizations and the systems of self-government. This active participation resulted in the creation of feminist leagues within the liberation movements and called attention to the power relations. In this sense, the present text focuses on the process of struggle and the forms of women's organization in countries of portuguese colonization, especially, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and Cape Verde.
