History of the Second Degree Teaching Center Professor Anísio Teixeira (1974-1985)

Abstract

This work aims to highlight the (re) construction of the history of the 2nd Grade Teaching Center Professor Anísio Teixeira in Natal-RN (1974 to 1985). The investigation is based on the New History based on school culture and on the history of school institutions, making dialogues with documentary sources, such as: School PPP, Law No. 5.692/71, diplomas, minutes, clerks pedagogical letters from the voices of directors and teachers, composing the corpus of the research. It is concluded that Anísio Teixeira was a reference school in the capital, in professional technical education in administration and accounting, since most of the students who graduated there obtained placement in the trade. It was found that the locus of research institution was inaugurated to legitimize the law, technicality and the pragmatic/utilitarian curriculum.
