Rima Cabrunco: the urban centrality of Hip-hop leisure in Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil

Abstract

This article aims to understand the contemporary urban dynamics, having as object of study the hip-hop movement in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes (Brazil) and its importance for the socialization of young people as a form of urban leisure. In the study of this topic, social media are present in the discussion due to their key role in the dissemination of this social movement and for the communications made by the subjects in the exchange of experiences necessary to carry out the battles of MCs. We propose the study of the urban centrality of leisure and how the relationships mediated by the Internet can reinforce these centralities.
