ONE A FEW WORDS BELONGING TO AMASYA AND IT’S REGION
Abstract
The dialect studies in our country have been carried out since 19th century. Until today, many Turkologists and researchers have made scientific studies about the region, province, district and local dialects. Amasya dialect, which is a dialect of Western group in terms of dialect classifications, has been the subject of three master’s theses, two graduation theses, one book and one article. These studies are mostly composed of text compilation and transcription, and sound-figure information studies on texts. Only a few of the works carried out have a dictionary section. There are few evaluations about the words that are collected during the studies. In this study, we will make evaluations on some words such as horā çir-, basuruklu, parla-, gıcırdamaz gağnı, bamyanın oynaşı, bekçe git-, yélik-, kepir/keper/kepür/keperük, aḫşamaştānı/sabaḫaştānı/aḫşamaştā/sabaḫaştā which have not been present in the eclectic dictionary, have not been used in previous studies or have been used in different meanings.
