Radioecological situation in Kropivnitsky city – center of Ukrainian uranium development industry

Abstract

There were considered the results of radioecological situation in Kropivnitsky city. The developed recommendations and proposals for im­proving of the radiation situation are presented. The radioecological and sanitary-hygienic situation in Kropivnitsky city is generally assessed as an unfavorable and provoking concern of the radon factor. It requires the immediate implementation of anti-radon measures at the most anomalous concentrations of radon and thoron objects. Anti-radon measures will significantly reduce the radiation dose on residents of Kropivnitsky city and will reduce the dynamic growth of oncological diseases over time.
