Modeling mechanical properties of multi-components composites using a TV-GEP method

An improved Gene Expression Programming (GEP) by Total Variation (TV) method is introduced in this paper for modeling mechanical properties of multi-components. To verify the scheme, the Glass Fiber Reinforced Pipe materials test under 10000h, and the Carbon Fiber Reinforced Self-lubrication materials for pantograph of high speed rail way are discussed by TV-GEP. The improved method obviously overcomes the Runge problem and has less error than Response Surface Method (RSM) in prediction. The algebra equations of results verify the wear/Hardness theory and discovers a relation between Resistivity/Compressive of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Self-lubrication materials.
