Abstract

Dignity is one of the elementary values in the axiological canon of Poles. It is equated with the fundamental right of every human being. This is confirmed by the language data presented in the article. Dignity is also one of the most important values in Lech Kaczyński’s presidential discourse. The dignity of the state and nation was of particular importance to him, followed by the dignity of workers. The aim of the article is to analyze dignity on the example of presidential public speeches in 2006-2009.
