The article deals with the issue of determining the concentration of metals such as aluminum, iron and copper in spring water of spring No. 31. At the beginning of the article the importance of water as a basic element of life on Earth and its influence on human health is discussed. The main focus is on the study of drinking water quality in the area of the Kola Peninsula, in particular, in the Apatity-Kirovsky region at the foot of the Khibiny Mountains. It is mentioned that the composition of water can be disturbed due to the presence of various metals, with potentially negative health effects. Methods for analyzing water for heavy metals are described, with emphasis on atomic absorption spectrometry and the use of the SHIMADZU spectrometer for accurate determination of metals in spring water. The analyzed spring water samples are analyzed for the determination of metal concentrations and the results are presented. At the end of the work, based on the obtained data, a comparative analysis with MPC of non-centralized water supply sources is carried out, and a conclusion is made about the suitability for consumption of water from spring No. 31.
