In the middle of the 17th Century, Johann Amos Comenius (1592-1670) publishes the Typographeum vivum giving birth to modern Pedagogy. The aim of Comenius is essentially “to print typosless men”, i.e. to generate men with a deep-seated erudition in the three fundamental texts of Being (Bible, Nature, Soul). Only in this way it is possible to pretend to train men according to image and likeness of God. In the framework of the so-called athletic humanism developed by Peter Sloterdijk in You must change your life (2009), this paper proposes an analogy between the “pedagogical ambition” of Comenius and the “biotechnology ambition” of post-Darwinian eugenic thought.
