From the results obtained by cutting analysis during the perforation of the horizontal wells in theCanasí - Puerto Escondido area in the year 2002, have been described and dated the reservoir rockspreviously dated Cretaceous - Jurassic with Tertiary age (Canasi Formation). This reservoir constitutesthe main reservoir in several locations petroleum of the Cuban North Fringe (Boca de Jaruco - ViaBlanca, Santa Cruz, Canasí -Puerto Escondido and Yumurí - Seboruco). In the course of that havebeen work obtained important results about the origin of these reservoirs, main lightfaces and theirnomenclature and identification, their characteristics, petrophysic model, and their spatial relationwith the sequences of the Veloz Group and the Vega Alta Formation. Presently work is shown as thisreservoir could be satisfactorily identified in the area by means of the geophysics, mainly the seismicmethod. Moreover , it is exposed like they were established and used the patterns of attributes in orderto characterize the seismic image and to define the superior and inferior boundaries of the reservoirreferred by means of the integrated analysis of the data of wells and seismic, taking as pattern theBoca de Jaruco - Via Blanca location.
