Quelques considérations sur la cartographie des données linguistiques

Abstract

This article puts forward some epistemological reflections on geolinguistic data and tools and in particular on the results that can be obtained from different types of mapping at both the microlinguistic and the macrolinguistic levels of language distribution. The reflections encompass dialectological, language classification and sociolinguistic issues.
