Infinitive Sentences as a Means to Organize the Modal Space of the Russian Bylina Epic

Abstract

The article studies the peculiarities of infinitive sentences functioning in the texts of the Russian bylina epic. The authors analyze the semantic peculiarities of the modal complex of infinitive constructions and reveal the artistic role of infinitive sentences in the bylina poetics.
