Palestinian institutional interference and the crisis of constitutional legitimacy in light of the postponement of the 2021 elections

after a 15-year hiatus on January 15, 2021, the Palestinian president issued a presidential decree setting the dates for legislative and presidential elections to be held on May 22, 2021, for legislative elections, and on May 31, 2021. July 2021 for the presidential elections, and on 29 April 2021 it was announced that the elections would be postponed for various reasons, increasing the situation of Palestinian-Palestinian division and interference in the work of the legislative institution and the presidential institution, which constituted a constitutional and legal crisis on the Palestinian ground. The question of the research is what effect has this postponement had on the Palestinian institutional overlap and the crisis of constitutional legitimacy between the Legislative and Presidential Council and the executive branch? This will be answered by the research.
