Multiculturalism, relational intersubjectivity and dialogue between cultures. A proposal for citizenship from the perspective of European federalism
Abstract
Focused on the social, political and legal philosophy of Denis de Rougemont, the article starts from his relational anthropology, which communicates social morality, politics and law in the public space, and from his consequent proposal of a federalist political culture. Within this framework, the contributions of the Swiss author relevant to the contemporary debate on the crisis of the nation-state, citizenship, identities and cultural diversity are studied, with the purpose of illuminating our current reality marked by the phenomenon of globalization now fractured.
