QUALITY OF LIFE OF HYDROCELE PATIENTS AFTER TRADITIONAL SURGERIES AND SCLEROTHERAPY
Abstract
The article analyzes quality of life of hydrocele patients after traditional surgeries and sclerotherapy. It is shown that pain intensity in the sclerotherapy group was 1.1 ± 0.10 points and lower than in the open surgery group where it was 2.6 ± 0.20 points. Physical activity in patients after sclerotherapy was 1.2 ± 0.20 points, while after traditional surgery it was 2.8 ± 0.24 points. Furthermore, mean number of inpatient bed-days and time to return to normal life were significantly lower in the sclerotherapy patients compared to patients who underwent open surgery.
