Rev.esc.adm.neg This article describes a research study about the current state of the implementation and importance of eight processes of knowledge management (KM) in 169 organizations which develop software in Colombia. Data was collected from a poll used to explore the current state of the implementation of eight processes of knowledge management proposed by the Model of Reference of Knowledge Management Processes from the perspective of expected outcomes and purposes. Results show that organizations developing software in Colombia really take into account the relevance of knowledge management, but their implementation stage of processes is still acceptable.
