Analysis on deformation and failure of Jijianao ventilation shaft roadway and supporting countermeasures

In order to solve the problem of large deformation of Jijianao ventilation shaft roadway in Xinyuan Mine, the nature of the surrounding rock of the ventilation shaft roadway was studied. The deformation and failure mode of the roadway was systematically analyzed. The composite supporting scheme of concrete-filled steel tube support and anchor is proposed. And the deformation and failure characteristics of the roadway under the two supporting schemes were analyzed by FLAC3D. In addition, the concrete-filled steel tube support scheme was tested in field. The research results show that under the original support scheme, the roof sinking amount is up to 1 100 mm, the two sides convergence is up to 700 mm, and the section shrinkage rate is 25% to 29%. The poor lithology of the surrounding rock of the roadway, frequent dynamic disturbances, and low support strength lead to large deformation of the ventilation shaft roadway. After using the concrete-filled steel tube support composite support scheme, the surrounding rock of the ventilation shaft roadway is controlled well. The sinking amount of the roof is 45-55 mm, and the deformation of the two sides is 25-35 mm, which ensures the normal use of the ventilation shaft roadway.
