Localiser le refus de la sécession à Yaoundé : jeux et enjeux du meeting parlementaire de soutien pour la paix et l’indivisibilité du Cameroun du 1er octobre 2017.

Abstract

This article analyses the holding of a remarkable parliamentary meeting within the Monument of the Reunification on October 1rst, 2017, day of the commemoration of that historical event. It was organised to disapprove the threats of an unsuccessful secession during the “Anglophone” (English-speaking) crisis in the south west and northwest regions. We shall equally observe that, from the dynamics of the parliament’s silence throughout this crisis since October 2016, a unified and authoritarian public action on this issue has been developed by parliamentarians. The holding of this meeting will question the content, the stakes and the limits of the Parliament public exit.
