Representation of water plants of the Murmansk region in the herbarium of the N. A. Avrorin Polar-Alpine Botanical Garden-Institute
Abstract
Plants of water and coastal water habitats play a significant role in the flora of the Murmansk region. KPABG stores most of the herbarium collections of the flora of the Murmansk region. The history of replenishment of the herbarium by water plants is considered: the main collectors are N. I. Orlova, E. G. Chernov, O. I. Kuzeneva, periods of greatest activity - from the late 1940s to the early 1960s. Based on the results of 2018-2019 inventory found that the herbarium collection KPABG contains 2543 samples and 1037 doublets of 85 species, 11 interspecific and 4 intraspecific taxa from 105 taxa of water flora selected for analysis. Species not represented in KPABG were identified, storage locations for herbarium collections in other collections, if any, and reasons for the absence of KPABG collection were indicated. The collection contains herbarium collections of rare species protected in the territory of the Murmansk region (11) and Russia (2).
