Abstract

Diet of Microthrissa congica Regan 1917 (Pisces, Clupeidae) in Congo Basin. After the analysis of four hundred and thirty four stomach contents of Microthrissa congica Regan 1917, a small Clupeidae of the Congo basin, it has been demonstrated that this fish is essentially insectivore and its favourite kind of food is the nymphs of Chironomides.
