Performance evaluation of furrow irrigation water management practice under Wonji Shoa Sugar Estate condition, in Central Ethiopia

Abstract

Highlights Performance of current furrow irrigation under Wonji Shoa sugar Estate was evaluated. For the evaluation purposes, different performance indicators were used from the measured data and the result was simulated using WinSRFR model. The performance of existing furrow irrigation practices was showed poor performances Based on the result obtained from the existing furrow irrigation performance, the improvement options were proposed and evaluated.
