This paper discusses the work developed by 12 professors supervising Curricular Internship in twelve undergraduate teaching courses at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), aiming at contributing to understand the organization and development of curricular internship in undergraduate teaching courses. Data were collected through Structured Interview with the professors. It was observed that professors tend to participate in the insertion of their interns in school, and that there are no models for guidance, but rather peculiar ways to prepare the interns. Overall, the students got a good reception by the schools, which have a tradition of receiving them. The implementation of a new curriculum caused some "discomfort" for schools. But the overriding issue of Curricular Internship is to find ways so that it can be developed with "quality", regardless of the quantity of hours established.
