A POBREZA ENQUANTO CATEGORIA TEÓRICA DE FUNDAMENTAÇÃO E FOCO DE INTERVENÇÃO DOS PROGRAMAS DE TRANSFERÊNCIA DE RENDA NA AMÉRICA LATINA

Abstract

The article, based on a survey, bibliographic and documental research, has as subject a discuss about poverty as main theoretical category in the formulation and implementation of the Conditional Income Transfer Programs in Latin America. The poverty is presented and problematized considering the social structure as its main determination. It is also considered its multidimensional character. Following, it highlights contents and meanings that the poverty category, represents in the context of these programs to support ideas and guide their implementations. It is highlighted the allocation of individualizing contents and discriminatory to the beneficiary population and their accountability for overcoming intergenerational poverty in which it is immersed.
