Selected trends in contemporary Polish language

Abstract

The article deals with situation of contemporary polish language, its form, tendency and status. It concerns about outstanding proceses affecting polish language e.g. anglicization or colloquia-lisation of language. The article also ponders on differentiate proceses within territory of Poland, position and status of Silesian dialect and Kashubian language in terms of Polish literary language, it records trends towards autonomy of these restricted linguistic codes. Furthermore it is concerned with characteristic development trends of contemporary Polish language.
