AS PALAVRAS E AS IMAGENS: UMA ARQUEOLOGIA DA PINTURA EM FOUCAULT
Abstract
The article studies the importance of the visual experience over the thought of Michel Foucault. It is discussed, in this sense, the articulation of painting as a thematic focus in different moments of his philosophical research from an archeological approach that analyzes the way of operating as well as the discontinuities of four paintings: "The Ship of Fools" by El Bosco, "Las Meninas" by Velázquez, "A Bar at the Folies-Bergere" by Manet and "The Balcony" by Magritte. Finally, it is introduced a general reflexion on the matter of the look, power, endurance and writing in Foucault from the works of Martin Jay and Michel De Certeau.
