La Orientación Vocacional y Profesional en la selección de carreras
Abstract
The choice of university degree is one of the most important decisions that a person makes in life. At the end of secondary education a student must choose the profession for which he believes himself prepared or interrupt his education in order to work to provide a means of living. The search for one´s vocation is one of the problems that today´s youth must face and a bad decision could generate feelings of frustration and affect their personal, family and group activities. Consequently it is in the interest of the whole community and especially of the parents and teachers that they detect in time in which area of knowledge, their children (or students) wish to apply their personal projects in order to become competent and productive.This article analyses the difficulties which exist at the moment of this decision from a historical perspective in order to make recommendations to guide students to find their vocation and become successful professionals.
