Wandering Mythical Stories. Once again on Enoch 6:1-6 and Michael the Great

Abstract

Our aim in the present paper is to study a brief fragment preserved in Michael the Great’s Cronography. The fragment, far from being a simple heading reference to the contents of the chapter, fulfils a proleptic narrative function, anticipating by a synthetic summary the whole text of the ‘Descent of the Watchers’ that the author includes on the next page.
