Relações autoclíticas, gramática e sintaxe: o tratamento skinneriano e as propostas de Place e Stemmer
Abstract
Very few studies have analyzed the Skinnerian treatment of second-order verbal repertoires (the autoclitic relations). That is problematic because it is in this treatment that Skinner develops his analysis of the grammatical and syntactic aspects of verbal behavior, one of the main points of criticism of the Skinnerian treatment of linguistic phenomena. This work analyzes the Skinnerian treatment of autoclitic relations and the characterization of grammatical and syntactic behavior derived from it. Initially, Skinner's proposal was analyzed. After that, the proposal of Place, based on a critical analysis of the Skinnerian treatment, and the proposal of Stemmer, developed from the Skinnerian treatment, were discussed. Finally, the implications of these proposals for the establishment of a functional treatment of the grammatical and syntactic aspects of verbal behavior were discussed.
