Territorio y poblamiento en la Küra de Märida durante el emirato Omeya (siglo VIII-X/II-IV)

Abstract

Estudio donde se analiza el espacio geográfico y humano perteneciente a la Cora de Mérida durante el periodo emiral de al-Andalus. Unidad administrativa heredera en gran medida del pasado tardoantiguo, y que durante el primer siglo y medio de dominio islámico sobre la ciudad y su jurisdicción, se engira en lugar de asentamiento de tribus beréberes procedentes del Norte de África, en dura pugna contra la población muladi y el poder emanado desde Córdoba. Para ello me he valido fundamentalmente del análisis de las fuentes documentales y de los incipientes estudios donde se han llevado a cabo registros arqueológicos, qué aunque escasos para el periodo tratado, nos están ofreciendo una importante información sobre los lugares de asentamiento y el dominio ejercido sobre el territorio.This study analizes the human and geografic space belonging to the Cora of Mérida throughout the Emiral period of Al-Andalus. It was an administrative unity inheritor in its main part of the tardoantiguo past that during the first century and a half of the Islamic domain on the city and its district, raised as a place of Berebers tribes settlements coming from the North of África, whose were in hard conflict with the mulady population and the emanated power from Córdoba. For all this, I've essentially made use of the documental sources and the incipient studies in which were carried out archaeologlcal registrations. Although they are short for the period we're dealing with, they're offering us an important information about the places of settlement and the domain exerted upon the territory.
