Inquiries made on the effects of segregation bring to the attention of readers and, implicitly, to the authorities and urban management, the most important results of the manifestation of segregation in urban environment. This second side of urban segregation, and also the first functional and aesthetic importance for the cities in general, is based on: quality housing and neighborhoods (the optimal housing stock and housing as a mechanism for reproducing social disadvantages and shortcomings), social opportunities (educational and employment), emergence and strengthening of social class, delinquent behavior and ghettoization of urban culture, manipulation of electoral behavior etc. Of utmost importance for the present study are the connections between segregation, waste occurrence and concentration in some urban areas, and also the health of people in urban areas neglected by the authorities.
