A Rare Cause of Syncope: Frontal Lobe Abscess
Abstract
A fourteen years-old girl was admitted to the emergency department by 112 ambulances due to syncope. The patient was treated according to the syncope algorithm. Conversion was considered because initial findings were normal. In the follow-up, high fever and focal seizure were observed. Frontal sinusitis and abscess were detected in cranial magnetic resonance. In this case report, we wanted to emphasize the importance of algorithmic approach in children with syncope in the emergency department.
