The objective of this study was to estimate the heritability of milk, milk fat and milk protein productions in Romanian Black Spotted breed cattle from SC Dorin&Sanda SRL private farm, Petreşti-Alba. A total of 101 lactations cows were used to estimate heritability variabilites among milk yield (kilograms), fat and protein content. The data were collected over a period of two years (2006-2007). Heritabilities were 0.31, 0.68 and 0.73 for milk yield, fat content and protein content, respectively. Heritabilities were among the limits found in the literature. Data can be use as a guide for selection to improve milk yield while maintaining fat and protein contents.
