Формы повелительного наклонения в Радзивиловской летописи

Abstract

Imperative forms in Radziwiłł Chronicle Imperative forms found in the fifteenth-century Radziwiłł Chronicle were presented in the following article. As a result of analysis, it was discovered that a clear system of creating imperatives operates in the relic. Depending on the person and number, imperative is created by particles да and ать or a suffix. Some peculiarities related to the conjugation of individual verbs were also observed in the Chronicle. In some forms of the 2nd person singular, suffix –и disappeared. It may indicate the influence of living language. Particular attention was drawn to forms буд and ход. In addition, the presence of variants concerning conjugation of дати was noted and also of other verbs formed from дати by means of prefixing. The presence of variants was connected with the influence of conjugation of the verb даяти. It was also noted that in the relic the non-productive suffix -ѣ- began to be displaced mainly by the productive suffix –и-.
