The aim of this study was to evaluate the initial development of two hybrids of eucalypt (Grancam and Urograndis), microsprinkler and drip irrigated and non-irrigated from 7 to 17 months after planting (MAP). The experiment was installed in the area of irrigation and experimental demonstration of ‘Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul’ in Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul state, Brazil. The experimental design was a randomized block, split plot design with four blocks and two replications in each block, whereas the plots were composed by irrigation treatments (microsprinkler, drip and non-irrigated) and the subplots hybrids (Grancam and Urograndis). We evaluated the plant height, stem diameter, stem basal area, the relationship between height and stem diameter, stem volume per hectare and increased average monthly variables. The data were subjected to analysis of variance and compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. The irrigation systems microsprinkler and drip provide greater plant height, stem diameter, basal area of the stem and stem volume per hectare. The hybrid Grancam presents dendrometric parameters above those of Urograndis.
