Sociocultural scope of labor discrimination based on gender and age
Abstract
Discrimination or negative sense of differentiation, has come to be defined as a differential treatment based on various reasons; it is the selection or pointing to a specific person with certain characteristics, ascribing a condition or sense of inferiority. This discrimination, if applied to gender, age, among other equally negative conditions, produces an impact on the involved subjects, become their socio-cultural exclusion, which prevents the principle of equality established in the labor legislation of Colombia be effective. In this regard, the purpose of analysis, this concept is examined, in order to ascertain its scope or significance, framed under precise theoretical and methodological reference.
