Reconectando o Império: mercês e interesses mercantis na força naval de Salvador de Sá que reconquistou Angola
Abstract
This article intends to demonstrate the motivations which caused the organization of the Portuguese Naval Fleet, which reconquered Angola in 1648. For such, the complex context wich influenced the insertion of Portugal in the international scenery is presented. Subsidiarily, the new historiography about the matter is presented.
