THE TEACHING OF PSYCHOLOGY IN PROFESSIONAL-TECHNICAL COURSES: A REPORT ABOUT AN EXPERIENCE OF TEACHING LABOR PSYCHOLOGY

This article is a report about an experience that aims to make relations between the teaching of Psychology in Secondary School and courses at technical level. In order to achieve that purpose, this study presents a brief history of professional-technical education in Brazil and its relations with Secondary School. It is noted that professionalization and Secondary School are sometimes integrated, but not always. Besides, this article mentions laws and acts that regulate these forms of education in Brazil. It is also discussed the teaching of Psychology in both levels. The article reflects about the new act that determines requirements to teach Psychology in Secondary School and courses at technical level. It is required a licentiate degree (a permission to teach). Ultimately, it is reported an experience of teaching Psychology at professional-technical level. The focus is in Labor Psychology.
