The United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), established in 2007, is the present model of hybrid peacekeeping operation, carried out by the United Nations along with the African Union. This format of operation has brought a myriad of new dilemmas to peacekeeping studies. In this way, the article uses UNAMID to present some considerations on hybrid operations in the field of conflict management/resolution. Based on secondary and primary sources, the text starts from the central idea that, although the concept restricts the hybrid characteristic of the operation to its structures on the ground, the process of interaction of the partner organizations took place with far more justification and prominent at the political and strategic levels.
