Objective In urban rail transit lines, the number of traction power supply facilities supporting train operation has an upper limit. Preceding train breakdown or overhigh train chasing density on busy routes may possibly result in overload current of the feeding section and power switch trip, seriously affecting train operation. The traditional ATS (automatic train monitoring) system is unable to intelligently control the real-time operation of the power supply system. Therefore, it is necessary to study the relation between power supply capacity and train operation to realize dynamic train operation control. Method Based on power supply capacity analysis of the feeding section and the train running curve, a dynamic train operation control method is proposed. Through fusion analysis of multi-disciplinary data such as signal, power supply, vehicle and track, and in combination with big data current curve prediction model, the dynamic monitoring and prediction of power supply load capacity is realized. The dynamic train operation control is achieved by combining the predicted current curve and the train ATO running curve, and adjusting the number of trains running in the current feeding section. The above method is verified as an example on Shenzhen Metro Line 16. Result & Conclusion The dynamic train operation control method based on power supply capacity dynamically adjusts the train operation by predicting the required current for trains, and can effectively avoid the power supply system tripping fault caused by the overload of train operation, improve the line operation safety while ensuring the operation efficiency.
