Abstract

On June 6, 2014, he would have turned 80 years old to the famous Ukrainian scientist - religious scholar, candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor, professor of the Department of Philosophy and Ukrainian Studies Gudiy Arsen Nikolayevich. He was born in the village of Novoe Selo, Pidvolochysky District, in Ternopil. In 1957 he graduated from the Faculty of History of I. I. Franko Lviv State University and in the same year began his labor career as a teacher of the history of Novosilsky secondary school. While working, Arsen Nikolayevich graduated from postgraduate study at the Department of Philosophy at Lviv University. Even then, he had a number of publications on philosophical topics. Given A.M. Gudyma's postgraduate study, the regional department of public education recommended him to work at the medical institute in January 1970.
