Abstract
En la provincia de Matanzas ha aumentado la incidencia de nacimientos de niños con peso The incidence of children born with < 1 500 grams has increased at the province of Matanzas. It might be accompanied with an increase in the prevalence of congenital cerebral paralysis in few years. Our objective was developing a plan of actions addressed to prevent and control the main risk factors of congenital cerebral paralysis in preterm children born at the province of Matanzas. We propose an intervention strategy stating concrete measures to prevent and control the main risk facts of congenital cerebral paralysis identified in preterm children born in Matanzas: maternal diseases, preterm delivery menace, and delivery induction, depression at birth, sepsis, infection and neonatal mechanic ventilation. Putting into practice an intervention at the population level directed to control the risk facts of congenital cerebral paralysis in preterm children should have a positive impact in controlling the frequency of the entity´s emergency, but it's success requires the coordinated action of the doctor, the health system and the government instances.
