Contributions to Optimize the Operation of a Thermoelectric Conversion Equipment

Abstract

Geothermal energy is an important renewable energy source, is accessible and clean. University of Oradea has important contributions in this area. Therefore we aimed to achieve a new method of converting geothermal energy into electricity. Studies have removed shortcomings in existing plants. As such a model was made functional, laboratory, fully automatic, low power, superior to existing technologies through: removal of harmful substances (e.g. CO2), increase equipment reliability and increase system efficiency. In the creation of this product is the invention of the University of Oradea which won the 2008 Inventions Exhibition in Cluj-Napoca, the gold medal.
