Relacionamentos Virtuais e Família: Enlaces Interculturais

Abstract

Considering that digital media have participated in cultural events relating to dating and marriage rites, this paper analyzes the family contituition influenced by new digital technologies and seeks answers to the questions: how can a relationship between two people that is initially given throug digital medias become marriage? How have digital medias been involved in cultural manifestations related to dating and marriage? Qualitative research discusses about the relation between the digital medias and the virtual relationships; discusses the family subculture in the systemic conception; presents the constiuition of a famliy influenced by new digital medias, from the interview conducted with the couple M.R.J. and P.C.J., disconstructing ideas and presenting new conjectures about virtual relashionships and family.
